VISION & MISSION
Our VISION is to recover what has been lost through sex addiction and restore what has been broken.
We all have a story and God is the Author. And yet, because of sin, we tend to write smaller stories; stories that are filled with more of us and less of God. For those of us trapped inside our addiction (our smaller story), our life can become one of loss, shame, unmanageability, and regret. At REWRITE RECOVERY we walk through the darkest parts of your story in a safe and intimate environment to heal the wounds of your unwanted sexual behavior.
Our MISSION is the restoration of men's souls so they can become who God has called them to be.
We heal these wounds through intensive therapeutic workshops that introduce men to the process of recovery. We gently guide men along the path of the 12 Steps, and ultimately help men to mourn losses in their lives so they can rewrite their story, placing God at the center so they can fulfill their calling and purpose.

THE STRUGGLE IS PART OF THE STORY
Chris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, and he is trained in EMDR. He founded REWRITE RECOVERY to create an intimate space for Christian men to begin their healing journey as they write new chapters in their lives.
Chris grew up in San Jose, California and moved to Florida in 2001. He has his own recovery story which influences his heart for those trapped inside their addiction. He is passionate about recovery and the life that it provides. Chris attributes his personal recovery journey to Jesus. Chris also employs the latest in evidenced-based research into his therapeutic workshops, believing that all Truth is God's Truth.
Chris earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Central Florida. While in school, Chris worked closely with UCF students struggling with substance abuse and addiction. He helped create, develop, and launch the Sober Knights and the Collegiate Recovery Community where he served as the CRC Coordinator from 2014-2017. From 2017-2022 Chris worked at the highest levels of care for both substance use and mental health at the Residential level of care.
Chris also served on the Board of Directors for Hand In Hand, a Christian, Faith-Based in-house recovery community, from 2018-2020.
Chris has been involved in church leadership since 2011. Chris served as the reGROUP Worship and Training Coordinator at Summit Church from 2011-2015 where he taught recovery curriculum, trained leaders to facilitate recovery groups, and led the congregation in worship. He served as the Communications Director for theCross Church in Mount Dora, Florida from 2015-2020.
He is currently the Healing Minister at theCross where he oversees ministries such as Restoration Nights, GriefShare, Stephen Ministry and DivorceCare.
Chris also enjoys writing worship music and working on carpentry projects. He loves to build things for his wife that she finds on Pinterest.

REWRITE RECOVERY intensive workshops are tailored specifically for Christian men looking for hope and healing from sex addiction. These workshops are confidential and we work hard to protect your anonymity.
These workshops are sensitive to the spiritual trauma many sex addicts have experienced, and we specialize in treating that pain. We invite participants into a personal relationship with a loving God. All are welcome at REWRITE RECOVERY regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof. Participants of any faith affiliation can find healing here.
